Guam USO supports B-52 Crash First Responders at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam
Guam USO supported members of the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, the day after a B-52 Stratofortress bomber aborted takeoff and crashed at Andersen Air Force Base.
Guam USO immediately responded to a call for support for those who have been working on the flight line overnight and throughout the day. A hot nutritious lunch and ice cold drinks was served to over 150 United States Air Force personnel.
Guam USO staff and volunteers organized a meal that included barbecued chicken and ribs, red rice (a local favorite on Guam), Jamaican Rice, a fresh garden salad and a tropical fruit assortment.
