At USO Guam, volunteers play a significant role in keeping our service members connected to family, home, and country. Whether it is welcoming visitors to our center, easing their journey with a cup of coffee, or providing a free phone call to a loved one, volunteers lead with their hearts and serve with integrity.
Typical volunteer duties include greeting guests and asking them to sign in and present their military IDs, answering the phones, replenishing snacks and drinks, cooking and serving hot dogs and chili, brewing a fresh pot of coffee, maintaining the cleanliness of the center, providing info about Guam and military installations, and general help for all guests. Volunteers also play a significant role in our programs and special events, including Operation Birthday Cake, unit/command meal outreach, homecoming and deployment support, craft programs, karaoke nights, care package distribution, and more!
Our USO centers and volunteers help provide a safe and comfortable place to rest, relax and communicate with family, friends, and commands before or after a long journey. We are a Force Behind the Forces® - the USO embodies that force and invites the public to join us on our mission to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation.
