'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' Valentine's Dinner - USO Andersen
In the month of February we see thousands of couples join together on Valentine’s Day to connect and remind one another of why they fell in love with each other. USO Andersen invited 7 lucky couples who entered our Facebook Sweepstakes to enjoy a luxurious 3 course meal and entertainment provided by USO volunteers and staff.
Guests were welcomed with a non-alcoholic special drink and escorted to their seats by a designated volunteer, who took care of our couples all night. Our 3 course meal included a delicious red, poached pear and feta cheese salad with a champagne vinaigrette, mouth watering steak cooked to their preference with herb infused mashed potatoes and honey roasted carrots. To end the evening, a delicious, home made 3 layer chocolate cheesecake.
Our ‘Blind Love’ Game had our guests drawing each other without looking down at the paper, and our volunteers had a task of picking the winners based on best resemblance.
Special thanks to Andersen Exchange for their gift basket and Andersen Family Advocacy Program for providing party favors.
