USO Andersen Volunteer of the Quarter - April Barzanti
USO Guam Advisory Council President Phil Santos of Matson Navigation, USO Guam Area Director Leigh Graham, and USO Andersen Center Manager Jadine Lujan recently recognized our very own Andersen volunteer, Mrs. April Barzanti, as the Volunteer of the Quarter for USO Guam and USO Pacific! Congratulations, April, and Si Yu'os ma'ase’ for your dedication! #BeTheForce Andersen Air Force Base, Guam
“April embodies all USO Core Values but most notably Mission First, Excellence, Collaboration, Gratitude, and Innovation. She will be the first to tell you that there is always more we can do for our service members, especially those who are single or deployed. She personally went to great lengths to collaborate with other team members and community partners to bring innovation and excellence to program execution. April worked closely with the USO Andersen staff, volunteers, and the Family Advocacy Program, to develop a new program– Couples Night Out—designed to treat military couples to a date night hosted by the USO. April also used her talents of photography and graphic design to promote the USO Story and increase social media engagement. We are grateful for April’s passion, creativity, and drive to make the USO a home away from home for service members and their families.” - C.K. Hyde, Regional Vice President, USO Pacific
