NMCB 133 Over The Hump Morale Event
Over the hump? Time for cake and socially distant fun and games!
USO Naval Base Guam celebrated with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 133 this past weekend with two large cupcake cakes for everyone to enjoy. The Seabees from Gulfport, Mississippi have been on Guam since July and have been restricted to Camp Covington for most of their deployment.
Navy construction battalions have been on Guam since the island’s liberation from Japanese occupation in 1944. Since then, Seabees did the initial construction on the island’s main thoroughfare, Marine Corps Drive, and helped Guam and our neighboring islands recover from the devastation of typhoons.
USO continues to support rotational Seabee battalions based at historic Camp Covington aboard US Naval Base Guam delivering morale boosting programs when needed.
