Valley of the Latte Tour for Deployed Sailors - Mes CHamoru








USO Naval Base Guam and Valley of the Latte hosted a group of service members for a special tour of the cultural heritage site. David Tydingco, Managing Director and CEO of Valley of the Latte Adventure Park Guam welcomed participants with a warm Hafa Adai and spoke of the longstanding relationship between USO Guam and Valley of the Latte.
The group of deployed Navy personnel kayaked through the Talofofo and Ugum rivers followed by a guided tour of the living Chamorro village, Ancient Latte Site, the Botanical Garden, and the Animal Sanctuary.
Mes Chamoru is the time of year when the Guam community celebrates and reflects on the island’s history, heritage and native culture. The month-long celebration is filled with exciting special events and fun activities that showcase the best of Guam’s food, culture, and Hafa Adai spirit.
