USO Pacific Expeditionary Support: Tinian
USO Guam delivered a Thanksgiving Feast to 100 Seabees, Airmen and Soldiers assisting in the recovery from Category 5 Typhoon Utu that devastated the island of Tinian and its neighbor Saipan on 10/25/2018. Living in tents in extreme weather conditions on Tinian with only packaged Meals-Ready-To-Eat (MREs) and very limited hot meals, these service members were happy to see the turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing and all the trimmings arrive from USO via airlift on Thanksgiving Day.
USO Guam Area Programs Manager Ed Lebita and USO Tumon Bay Center Manager Kenji Oku delivered the goodness along with 5 birthday cakes for those who have had birthdays during the deployment, 5 mobile wi-fis to connect everyone with home and family, games and prizes. Special thanks to the Seabees who originally deployed to Guam from Gulfport, Mississippi and to all military personnel involved in this effort!
