Gung Ho for GYOZA: Master Chef Cooking Class - USO Andersen
Enjoy cooking? Want to try new recipes? Don’t know how to cook, but willing to learn? Join our popular USO Andersen Master Chef Cooking Class!
This program is led by volunteers who are excited to show off their cooking talents! USO Andersen created the program to help service members and their families learn how to cook or improve their skills, and to provide an opportunity for service members and spouses to connect with one another and become familiar with the USO. On 1/16/2019 we welcomed 21 service members for “gyoza night” to learn the ins and outs of these delicious Japanese dumplings.
The night was led by volunteer Gemma Kong and supported by volunteers Olga Salinas, Brice Garcia, Alicia Hamilton, Deryk Labinski, and Joe Borromeo. Participants were able to make this traditional dumpling from scratch and indulge in tasting the treats once they were made. Stay tuned for more classes or let us know if you are interested in leading a class with instruction on how to make YOUR favorite recipe.
