A Season of Support: USO Guam's Holiday Outreach
In the heart of the Pacific, the beautiful Marianas Islands serve as a remote yet vital part of the nation’s defense. Often referred to as the “Tip of the Sphere,” these islands are home to many brave service members stationed far from their families and loved ones. In this unique and isolated environment, USO Guam remains steadfast in its mission: “We go wherever they go.”
During the holiday season, USO Guam continued its efforts to support service members and military families throughout the Marianas, ensuring they never felt far from home. Through meaningful programs, thoughtful care packages, and opportunities for connection, the USO worked to bring comfort and joy to those serving overseas.
USO Guam supported the Jingle & Mingle event in Saipan, where service members and their families came together to celebrate the holidays with festive crafts, games, and ornament-making. The event fostered a sense of joy, community, and togetherness for families spending the holidays away from loved ones.
In addition, the USO hosted Coffee Connections for military spouses, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to connect, share experiences, and build lasting networks. Spouses had the opportunity to create and customize seashell holders using mod podge and festive table napkins. These gatherings play a critical role in strengthening resilience among military families, especially in remote locations like the Marianas.
Another holiday highlight was the Jingle Beach Bash, where service members enjoyed a warm meal, togetherness, and the annual Gingerbread Building Contest, an activity that brought out creativity, laughter, and holiday spirit in everyone. Events like these serve as powerful reminders that even far from home, service members are valued, supported, and appreciated.
As USO Guam continues its outreach to the Marianas and deployed service members,** Enterprise Rent-A-Car reinforces the USO mission by truly being “Here for It.” ** Through their generous donations and unwavering support throughout the holiday season, Enterprise played a vital role in helping the USO create meaningful experiences, strengthen connections, and uplift morale among those who serve during this special time of year.
In addition to Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s generous support, USO Guam is deeply grateful for the many community partners, friends, and organizations such as United, Micronesian Air Cargo Services, Mayors Office of Saipan, Mayors Office of Tinian and Aguiguan, Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs and Matson. Their continued collaboration and shared commitment to service are essential to helping USO Guam deliver impactful programs, extend our reach across the Marianas, and create lasting moments of connection and support for service members and their families.
Guided by its mission and strengthened by its partners, the USO stands as a steadfast presence across the Pacific, providing service members with connection, comfort and a sense of home wherever they serve.
