Deployed Seabee Receives Birthday Cake from USO Guam
Happy Birthday, CM3 Chandler Bean, deployed to Guam from Gulfport, Mississippi with NMCB ONE - The First and The Finest! From your family, shipmates, and your USO Guam!
Navy construction battalions have been on Guam since the island’s liberation from Japanese occupation in 1944. Since then, Seabees did the initial construction on the island’s main thoroughfare, Marine Corps Drive, and helped Guam and our neighboring islands recover from the devastation of typhoons.
USO Guam continues to support rotational Seabee battalions based at historic Camp Covington aboard US Naval Base Guam to this day, delivering morale-boosting USO support when needed.
Thank you to NMCB1 for your support in setting up the surprise cake delivery!
